Apart from the Minuet and its various forms in France, England and Germany, the course also centers around the general differences in style between these countries during the first half of the eightteenth century. This highly interesting subject is very rarely found in baroque dance classes, so, every baroque dance enthusiast, whether amateur of professional, is invited to join this course. The teaching level is for advanced students.
Our teacher, Irène Ginger, is one of the most renowned baroque dancers and dance teachers in Europe, she has worked for decades with companies like "Ris et Danceries", "L'Eclat des Muses" and "L'Eventail". She also works as researcher and published e.g. at the "Colloque Jean Noverre", Paris, 2010. Now, she teaches at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris. She is supported on Tuesday by Hubert Hazebroucq, another well known French dancer and dance researcher, who has worked especially with German dance sources of the 17th and 18th century.
